“Handle extends without pushing the button”

Written on: 28/07/2012

Cabin-size Cosmolite; paid over $300. When load is light or empty, handle works fine. When 3 Kgs. or so are added (normal load, not overloaded), handle travels from position 2 to 3 or 4, making it dangerous to handle. I had the suitcase drop on my foot, and extend alone on mechanic stairs.
A friend of mine has the same model, and complains of the same flaw. Our guess is that the first two holders do not come out as much, since they are inside the attached part of the handle, hence there is not enough support and the handle will travel to the next one.
BIG flaw. Now I am insecure carrying this case, as it is unreliable. I have to pay more attention to it not landing on my foot than to my trips!
I wish I could have this issue fixed, but I am afraid it is a design error.

Have the same complain. Samsonite refused to repair.
