Item: Tutankhamun Exibition, London
Great for most of the family, although small children and older people may get tired. Overall a quite expensive but very enjoyable day, as long as you are interested in Egyptian history. The rest of the O2 is very good as well. Would definitely

It is worth seeing if you are interested, if not, it may be a bit too long. It is absolutely fantastic if you place things into context. Make yourself aware of what you are going to see and put it in a time perspective! You will then be amazed and will be able to appreciate how advanced the Egyptians were in relation to other cultures of the same period. Best of luck Cardiff, lets hope you make this one to ...

Item: London, Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum makes a fantastic day out, whilst entrance is free the cost of public transport for a family could add up. I wouldn't recommend driving here as parking is extremely scarce and expensive as in most areas of inner London. Also refreshments within the museum are very expensive, I ended up paying in excess of £25 for three sandwiches, a cake, a fruit salad and three drinks in the cafe whilst shelling out a further £10 for what was a bowl of cheap pasta in ...

Item: London, National Portait Gallery
Visited National Portait Gallery August 2007. Been before but enjoyed even more the second time. The work on display is fantastic which includes paintings of famous people by various artists. It is a relatively small gallery but full of quality work. The exhibition on at the time was the portrait competition, which was a joy to see such wonderful work and be able to examine at such close quarters. Unfortunately we arrived quite late and did not have as much time as we would have hoped for. ...
