Having seen on the local news, how Greenwich Market was suffering for trade during the Olympics, I decided to visit and give them support. Unfortunately, I chose to have breakfast last Sunday at this cafe. It did look a greasy spoon place, but they can be a safe bet for a good economic breakfast. (In the London Bridge area anyway) The full English whilst reasonably priced at £4.90, was dreadful! A plate swimming in stale grease and extremely cheap and nasty sausage. I went to pay for two breakfasts and two luke warm unpleasant mugs of tea, the bill was £16. They had charged me £6.20 for the two unpleasant mugs of tea. I didn’t realise this as there was no price list for drinks. I questioned the price and was told that everything had gone up in Greenwich lately. I didn’t stand my ground. Wish I had. I felt cheated. Is this how they are behaving towards the influx of visitors for the Olympics? Shame on you, Beachcomber greasy spoon cafe. I visit Greenwich regularly but will never visit you again! Again, Shame on you!
