    I've eaten here a few times and must say that I am perplexed by the negative reviews. Each time I've been the service and food have been good to excellent, and today was no exception.     Have been to this particular Loch Fyne restaurant in West Kirby a few times now but today I was on my own, something I was a bit dubious about!     Food ok at Loch Fyne Restaurant, Chelmsford! not a great choice, unless you want to share. Service the worse i've come accross, rude poorly trained staff, no passion, even asked if i was planning on giving them a tip!!!

    Fantastic ambience, good service but dreadful food. Cold plates, tastless soup, freezing cold salad. Sadly will not be going to Loch Fyne Restaurant again.

    The Edinburgh/Newhaven Loch Fyne Seafood restaurant used to be a favourite. I handed back my order of Mussels twice, many empty, some dead. No apologies offered.
    The chips used to be fresh, cooked in dripping, now soggy nasty McCain offerings. The plaice still had a nasty bit of gut in it.
