Found both RAC and AA websites hopeless. Seem never to have heard of Cardiff or South Wales!

Being a RAC member I expected better. My son is sat on the M62 with all four lanes at a standstill. He phoned for an update but you are reporting no incidents./

Clearly the RAC traffic news website is designed not to provide traffic information. I shall try the AA

This website is a complete waste of time for obtaining traffic news and weather conditions!

I want to know the weather conditions on major roads now and a forecast for the next day. This is what matters to most of us and you do not provide it

Completely useless - why don't they make it easy for enquiries by allowing us to enter the A or B road by number in a selected shire and that would make finding out about either weather conditions or jams so much easier! The website doesn't give a choice of weather watch for when it is snowing. It is not simple to find out what you need to know at all.

both rac and aa sites are next to useless, frustrating, complicated, and neither has given me the information I require to make a journey north scotland

RAC Traffic News is worse than the AA's.
All I want is traffic and roadwork news on the Welsh border, perhaps you haven't heard of it in England.

The RAC traffic news is still not up and running. Instead you are directed to live traffic updates from your mobile or land line which cost 60p per minute. It had been getting harder and harder to navigate to the traffic information and I find it very annoying that it was quietly sidelined over time and removed so we could all pay for the information instead!
The route planner function still exists and is still a useful tool but how long before that disappears too?

RAC Traffic News used to have a really good map showing where traffic was slowed down and what speed. I used to be able to contact people driving home and warn them about accidents. this I can no longer find

It would be useful if they provided some information aobut RAC Traffic News on the website which would have saved me a lot of time looking for something which is currently non-existent. I emailed the RAC about their lack of a live traffic news facility & they replied within a few minutes "we have removed this service from our site temporarily while we work on a new and improved facility. Apologies for the inconvenience but look out for the revised Traffic News coming soon.". I was impressed with the speed with which they answered my query

The web site used to give information of traffic black spots and accidents it no longer easily provides this useful data and indeed sent me to an accident.

RAC Travel News has helped me out in the past plenty of times. I've used it to find out the places to avoid. Often I put them into my sat nav before my journey as "avoid areas" so I skip the traffic blackspots.
Also, the RAC offer a route planner too, so I can get all the journey info I need from just one website!
