I was notified over a period of time by several companies that I was entitled to some compensation (not a huge amount) from an electricity supplier for their powerlines crossing my property. Finally got around to claiming, so reviewed several companies in this area and PAG appeared amongst the clearest and most specific on compensation, timescales, etc. Couldn't have chosen better!! Did exactly what they said they would do, in the timescale quoted, kept me updated on progress and handled everything totally professionally. On top of this, their costs were amongst the lowest and most reasonable I found whilst searching. Recommend them without reservation-obviously on the basis of my one small sample-but with a lot of experience generally in associated areas.

Every stage was explained in detail with discussion on alternatives followed by a recommendation which was executed promptly. The process is difficult to fault and good value - I can certainly recommend PAG.

I contacted Powerline Advisory Group myself having read reviews on this site. I found their advice to be excellent, and very comprehensive, and their dealings with us to be extremely fair. We got more than the hoped for levels of compensation for some power cabling that runs at the bottom of our garden, and with the minimum of fuss and inconvenience. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company, and in fact have already done so, to a couple of friends.

We have been very impressed with Powerline, Our consultant has been superb throughout ensuring our interests were always at the forefront. We were kept informed every step of the way and our consultant dealt with any questions we had promptly. Our consultant was happy to visit us at home when necessary and ensured our paperwork was completed correctly and managed the process in all aspects. I had always had doubts about using someone like Powerline, however our consultant has transformed my option and I would highly recommend him to anyone who wishes to pursue a claim.

My wife and I found that working with this company on our claim for reimbursement from the electricity company that owned the power cables overhanging our property to be excellent. At every stage in the process they were clear and quick in their communications and helped us through the process with the minimum of fuss, clearly explaining what was going on when we were unsure. We liked the way that when we had a question or query a response was provided to us within hours. This company were also the ones offering to handle such a claim with the lowest commission that we could find, after looking hard at other such intermediaries, so they met all our requirements. We would heartily recommend them to anyone who wishes to pursue such a claim for their own property.

I have recently used Powerline Group to settle a claim on my behalf, regarding a powerline in close proximity to a property I purchased. Initially, I was very scepitcal in regards to the whole process but after using Powerline Group, I can confirm it went much better then hoped. Powerline were more than helpful thorughout, responded to any questions I had within the hour normally and came back with informative, useful information that helped keep my mind at rest throughout. I could've processed the claim myself but it was so much easier not having to organise anything and not having to deal with the legal side of things, either. The claim was settled quicker than I originally expected with the minimum of fuss and meant I could progress with the completion of my renovation. I couldn't recommend Powerline more and would use them with other properties I purchase if this situation ever occured again.

My experience was on the one hand very positive but very exasperating on the other. From start to finish my application took well over a year to complete. This was in no part the fault of the Power Line Advisory Group. Together, they and we, were battling incompetence on a staggering scale from solicitors and banks - papers lost etc etc. However, through it all PLAG stuck to their task and we eventually got the compensation we asked for - and at the agreed 10% asking price. I was initially vey sceptical as I was cold-called by another company offering their services at 20% fee, but after some research on the net I found PLAG and contacted them myself. Great service and very friendly during a prolonged and very frustrating claim. I have no hesitation in reccommending them if you have a similar claim - and if it takes time - don't give up !!

Excelent service , very professional even when initial the company felt we didn't have a claim they listened to us looked into our claim in more detail & decided that we did have one. We were kept informed on a regular basis & all fees explained at the outset. Have recommended this company to other neighbours & are so pleased we decided to go with them. The first part of the process was good. Max was efficient and thorough and I would recommend him. However, the solicitor firm he recommended should be avoided at all costs. They were disorganised, took a long time to complete their paperwork and lost my marriage certificate.

Power company told me i wasnt entittled to anything so i gave the power advisory group a go and they got me £2700 after deductions.

Firstly, thank you for the kind words regarding the service that you received from me, and by extension, the Powerline Advisory Group as a company. I will always try and deliver the absolute best for my clients.
With regards to the solicitor; the process is a 2-stage process and so does require an independent solicitor for the 'second' stage. The solicitor that we recommend for the second stage has previously always delivered to high standards and the reason that I recommend this firm over any other is that through my experience with numerous other firms, they have been the only firm to show the same level of commitment to my clients' cases as I do.
As you know, I was in contact with the solicitors whilst you were experiencing the problems that you have stated, and would like to offer some clarity.
Firstly, although I will not make excuses for the disorganisation that you witnessed such as calls not being returned to you when promised and items being sent to you by standard and not recorded post, this was the result of the principal partner that handles these cases being on holiday and is not how they usually operate. This issue has been clearly fed back to them and they have acknowledged that it is not good enough, and will not be repeated. A second partner will now always be on hand in the event of the first not being available.
With regards to your marriage certificate, I think it is only fair to clarify that it was held up by the security team that manages the building's post who were unable to trace it for a number of days. It was eventually located, and delivered to the solicitors who then returned it to you once copied.
With regards to the the paperwork taking longer than expected, this is unfortunately an aspect of these transactions which is not actually in the solicitors' hands. All legal paperwork is drafted by the electricity company solicitors and is sent to your solicitor for approval/comment. When there are delays, we (both myself and the solicitor) will chase the other side, but the solicitor cannot send anything to you until they have themselves received it. In your case, we had a difficult time getting things moving as you will recall from the email exchanges that you and I had. I can assure you that without the efforts of the solicitor chasing as much as I did, the paperwork would have taken longer. Sadly (and this is another aspect that I have made clear they need to improve on), the solicitors were not as good at keeping you informed of what they were doing as I was. This leads to the assumption that they are not doing anything.
Having said all that, I would like to apologise for the dissatisfaction that you felt, and the inconvenience caused - your case did not go as smoothly as it should and there were some definite 'dropped ball' moments during the legal stage that just shouldn't have happened. I have spoken to the solicitors and I have made it clear that they can only remain our recommended solicitor if these sorts of issues do not reoccur.
I continue to monitor the situation and thankfully their performance is back to where it should be. Your comments have not been ignored and I do thank you for bringing these issues to my attention.
