We changed our children's names as they were too long. We did it through the Deed Poll Office and we were amazed at how quick and efficient the service was. We set it up online on a Sunday and by the following Thursday we had been sent all the certificates by post as well as instructions how to get them signed etc and and email with a formatted letter to send to institutions if necessary explaining about the name change. The website has been really good and the documents came quickly through the post, also it wasn't expensive to pay for the documents. I got 5 copies and am able to sort everything out! I liked that it was quick and easy and I didn't really not like anything. I would recommend this to a member of family or a friend if they wanted to change their first or second name as its a good easy form to fill out and you receive it a couple of days later in the post and its a cheap way to do things.
