The Gainesville, FL location offers a clean facility with a pleasant staff. A non-consulting medical director manages a couple locations; treatments are performed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

The outrageous PRICE coupled with the company's audacity to say you are getting a deal leads me to give a poor review. As a male, I consulted Ideal Image regarding abdominal hair removal, aka 'happy trail'. The area is one inch wide (maybe slightly less) and approximately 6 inches long above the bellybutton and approximately 3 inches long below the bellybutton. Suffice to say the area could probably be treated within one laser field directly down my abdomen. The sales representative warned me that many people are shocked by how much it costs... she was right. Ideal image wants $1600.00 for 9 treatments of that area. Keep in mind that this price represents a 'summer sale' valued at 60% OFF! The procedure to have my abdominal area treated would take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. 10 minutes x 9 sessions = 90 minutes (1.5 hours total). $1600/1.5 hours = $1,066/hour. I told the sales consultant that was too much and counter offered $1000 cash for 9 sessions (which I still feel is extreme). I declined any of the financing options they had available. She looked at the computer and responded she could never get the corporate office to accept that offer. I thanked her for her time and we parted ways.

Overall, I feel like Ideal Image could provide a good service. However, I personally feel the prices are excessive. I realize other people must be willing to pay this high of a price, otherwise market forces would drive the cost downward. Ideal Image is using an upscale boutique image to make consumers feel their experiences are something more than simply hair removal. In all honesty, I believe you could have a boob job for proportionally less money than laser-hair removal at Ideal Image. And having boob job includes anesthesia and an actual surgeon (MD - medical doctor).
