Just picked up one of these babies and wow - really wow. The picture is just so clear. Easy to set up, good control - they blow away the competition with their price. Makes staying home and watching a movie so much more enjoyable than to head to the cinema. Good reason to stay home and curl up on the sofa with the missus! Like most other tvs you need to hook it up to your surround sound system to get the real umph - built in speakers are a bit hollow.
The Samsung LE26C450 boasts an HD Ready LCD TV with Freeview, that reviewers on Newegg gave 4 out of 5 stars to. They state that it has a great look, and sets up easily right out of the box, and feel that there are plenty of customizable options. Users on Cnet are impressed with the value for their money, and also think the product has a sleek look. However, negatives to follow are the same on both sites. Reviews across the board note the loud chime at both power on and off times get old quickly, and the start up time itself takes longer than expected for users. Many report on the lack of extra HDMI cables, and the cables that are included are noted to be too short for use by many. Poor sound quality is an repeated issue, and the remote is continuously mentioned to be larger than expected for what is advertised to be slim product. Overall, users seem pleased, and the negatives did not sway they buyers enough to go with a different product.
