Super TV, superb picture and very good sound quality. Bought it from a local electronics store. They came and fitted it. I would definitely buy another Panasonic. We have a new Toshiba upstairs, as we wanted one in white, but the quality is not the same as the Panasonic.

“A simple but elegant design. No unnecessary clutter....”

A simple but elegant design. No unnecessary clutter. Manual controls hidden nicely out of sight. Quick start-up from power on.
Has all the necessary connections for HDMI, Composite, Scart, S-Video, RF, plus SD card and PC.

Picture quality on HD is excellent, but can be a little blurry on SD. I use mine mainly with a SKY HD+ box and have no complaints about picture definition and colour. DVD quality via HDMI and an up-scaling DVD player is very good when you switch to Movie mode.

The start-up input is selectable, so it switches directly to my Sky box, no more fiddling with two remotes to get to the HDMI input. Still need the TV remote to use Freeview or other AV inputs and the TV menu though.

The sound quality is the only thing that really lets it down. Compared to the 4 year old Sony Bravia it replaces, the sound is flat, lacking in depth.

Overall, a good TV for the price and that is where it pays to shop around. When I purchased mine, Comet had a 'special' with £100 off but it was still £500. Shopping around I got it next day delivery for under £420
