I have been eyeing up adjustable tailor’s dummies for a while now and I was lucky enough to receive an Adjustoform Dress Form for Christmas, which had been bought from the Grattan catalogue. I hadn't seen an adjustable form in the “flesh” before and I hadn't expected it to be quite so adjustable! This form has 8 parts which means it can be adjusted to so many shapes and sizes and I can get it pretty spot on for me. The dials are easy to use and the whole form is easy to adjust to different sizes. It is lightweight, easy to move around, is simple to put together and to take apart. Due to the material of the body you can pin things on to it which I have found quite useful for a mid way project. It has a hem marker for uniform hems and a ruler on the stand to provide accurate length hems.
I haven’t used it to make trousers yet so can’t comment on that but for all other purposes I am very happy with it. It is great value for money and I would certainly recommend it.
