WREN NIGHTMARE

After one year our 'dream' £23,000 kitchen is still not finished. It has been a complete stressful nightmare from start to finish. We are not seasoned complainers and this is the first time that we have experienced such poor service and workmanship -EVER.
The show rooms and designers present a good persona and lull potential customers into a false sense of security with their efficiency, this is where it ends for Wren, do not be fooled! There is so much wrong with this kitchen I've bullet pointed below the main points and have photographic evidence:
Faulty appliances ordered through Wren.
Never get to talk to the same person twice...its like ground hog day repeating yourself.
Faulty units, replacements sent-also faulty.
Fitters come to fix issues and create more problems whilst here, including damage to solid oak flooring.
Discontinued lights and tap...they broke we had to pick new ones.
Wrong delivery dates, loss of earnings waiting for them to turn up.
One fitter tried to botch under the sink by fitting an old part of the kitchen back in.
Tried to overcharge us for electrician they organised.
Design faults, unsymmetrical fitting and soft closes bust after a month.
Had a hole in the outside wall stuffed with a carrier bag for the expel air unit all over winter for 8 months! We ended up with a rat in the loft (rentokil said it was possible it got in through the hole)
Organising granite worktop measure and fit yourself, despite paying them to do it.
Not to mention the stress, arguments and mess having workmen in your house and constantly emptying cupboards for 10 months to accommodate them.


The list is endless and I am not exaggerating for effect, believe me this is not giving me any satisfaction what so ever.


Even their fitters (contractors, they don't work for wren which we weren't told) regale stories of jobs they've had to put right or kitchens they've had to rip out. After 6 visits from 6 different fitting teams and 4 different installations managers to try and put the issues right, it's apparent they're incapable. They promise you the earth and then don't deliver. We asked for our money back and will happily give them they're faulty product back, but no to add insult to injury we've been offered £1,000 pound for our trouble or the furniture ombudsman's number - we're taking legal advice. Only saving grace is that we've only paid a deposit so far, I dread to think if we'd paid full price, they'd probably just completely ignore you!
We went with Wren as we understood them to be a family owned company, my late mothers inheritance paid for our kitchen and I'm absolutely heartbroken that it's wasted and has caused us nothing but trouble. Every time we go near the showroom I'm like a mad woman warning people not to go in!!!
I implore the hard working people of Britain not to waste your hard earned cash on this bunch of overpriced, incompetent rip off merchants!! This has become more about principle than money and I intend to post to every review site possible in order to save someone the trouble we've experienced.
