“Tesco Doing the Right Thing for their customers”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 10/12/2014

We were due to have our kitchen fitted by Tesco Kitchen/Mark Two at the beginning of July. The kitchen was delivered, the fitters failed to turn up on two occasions. There followed many fraught and stressful months of attempts to either get our money back or get the kitchen fitted. We involved the Furniture Ombudsman and the CEO of Tesco. Finally after about five "personal/dedicated" co-ordinators at Mark Two; four named kitchen fitters; and many months of lies and mis-truths, we finally had a confirmed fitting date. This turned out to be just three days after Tesco Kitchen went to the wall. Consequently we had to pay for the fitter ourselves. (He was absolutely brilliant and we do not know what we would have done without him). We also had to source and buy new worktops (those supplied were damaged) and new upstands (those supplied did not match the finish/colour of the worktops). In addition we had to dispose of our old kitchen. Do not worry say Tesco - they are going to "do the right thing and make sure none of their customers are out of pocket". We were told to send the invoices to them and we would be repaid by cheque within 10 working days. Sixteen days later, upon our enquiry, we are told to send them our bank details and we will be repaid by BACS within 10 working days. Lets face it - they are just delaying and we will not be getting the money back. Thanks Tesco!

“Cooker that doesn't stay alight”

★★★★☆

written by on 27/11/2014

I arranged, on behalf of my elderly mother, for her to have a new kitchen. Chose Tesco as was quite happy with their plans. The kitchen was installed in October as planned and finished on time.I have to say the fitter did an excellent job. The only problem is, when trying to ignite the new cooker it does not stay lit. The company who issued the warranty did not turn up for a prearranged appointment so my mother is having to use her microwave which is not suitable to cook other foods in her freezer. I have to continue the fight for her.

Kitchen fitters have finished high quality installations and have received no payment for these installations. They still have to pay wages and running costs for the business. They do not want to leave customers high and dry but cannot work for free.

No longer trading! Thousands of customers out of pocket, some with half finished installation and without gas, electricity etc weeks before Christmas. Hard earned cash lost! Designers, fitters not being paid, they do not care! This is not Mark Two this is Tesco having no Morrals and cutting all ties and contracts with Mark Two and all customers. Don't even use Tesco stores, show them they can't mess with people's lives!! "Every little helps"!

All going fine last week until the fitters walked out monday saying they have not been paid and that Tesco Kitchens are no more. £10k of hard saved money now wasted as we are left with an unusable half finished kitchen and a ripped out en-suite with no idea what will happen, if the work will be completed. We can't afford new people to finish the job! All we are told is to wait for an 'announcement' tomorrow, probably denying any blame. 'Every little helps' indeed. :(

“Tesco kitchens no more !!!!!!!!!”

written by Walker1947 on 10/11/2014

For any of you who have paid Mark 2 for a Tesco kitchen beware !!!!!!!!!!! We went away this week expecting our kitchen to be fitted by the time we arrived back today , Friday 7th November. What did we get ? A building site , 2 kitchens delivered, the old kitchen ripped out and the fitter stating that Mark 2 weren't paying him so he was off the job. We have rubbish strewn around the garden and have no kitchen whatsoever. Apparently Mark 2 have problems, liquidation mentioned. So if any of you are about to pay Mark 2 I would think again.Tesco and Mark 2 are in meetings but will not agree to install the kitchen as yet.Tesco have removed their installation service from their kitchen/ bathroom website. Thought as most of you that Tesco could be trusted ??

Ordered on 4th September and the whole process has been a nightmare, total mismanagement from start to finish and this is the final straw.

Kitchen ripped out and fitters now left :-(

It seems that nobody but nobody is prepared to help, understand or do anything about it. I too thought that Tesco could be trusted

If you are in the process of buying a Tesco Kitchen please check out their website at tescokitchens Tesco have pulled the plug on their kitchen business with immediate effect and Mark Two, who operate the business on their behalf, are in the process of making all staff redundant. You will need to contact the customer service team on the number given on the website

I now have half a kitchen as Tesco Kitchens are in negotiations with Mark Two Distributors and have not paid the fitters so mine walked out yesterday. The phone number on Tesco website is "out of action". Yes Tesco get out of kitchens and let Mark two do the job they are much better at it. My fitter (from Mark two) was great but needs to eat. Mark Two should start up properly and independently as their customer service is first class

Trueblue61's Response to Rallymum's Review

Hi - I know for a fact that you have been mislead here.

There is no such company as Tesco Kitchens - Tesco simply allow Mark Two to use the Tesco name under an agreement which Tesco are now ending.

The fitters are not paid by Tesco as they are paid direct by Mark Two and are nothing to do with Tesco!!

Mark Two take and handle all money such as deposits and final balance and then from the money they take in they then pay the kitchen designers, fitters and everybody else.

If the fitters have not been paid then it is actually Mark Two who haven't paid them and not Tesco!!!!

we bought a kitchen june 14,they started fitting last week of august, prior to this I had my walls etc plastered, their electrician turned up and channelled out my walls ,why when they've been plastered and no channeling out was mentioned,so I sent him away ,the contractor was MARK TWO ,they made good and proceeded to fit kitchen, then found the sink base was not compatible with the sink, also other base units were wrong,so they left site for 1 or 2 days I was told.almost 4 WEEKS they left us WITHOUT WATER in the kitchen, or a cooker which was pulled out on 1st day,the finished product was awful ,they sent out a senior manager who agreed ,so more kitchen units etc etc was sent ,a fitter came pulled down cupboards then left ,and didn't come back ,when I complained ,I was told Tesco had pulled out of kitchens,so I spoke to Tesco who say MARK TWO have folded. gone into liquidation,so here I am no kitchen leak on washing machine connection,my new floor damaged.oh what a mess.and not sure of the outcome. I will never ever pay upfront again.

After over six design visits from all the usual suspects we eventually found a designer who knew how to design the perfect kitchen. Our kitchen presented many issues that were easily overcome by the Tesco designer. |He was very attentive to our needs and very passionate in wanting to design the perfect kitchen for us. He had some great suggestions which we readily accepted and his lighting ideas look fantastic. All in all we are delighted with our new kitchen. If you are in the North East make sure you insist he designs your new kitchen...

Cannot recommend the service highly enough. Everything was easy and straightforward everyone I dealt with friendly and helpful. Deliveries and starting times were organised to accommodate me and all in all i think one day i had to be 5 minutes late for work and that was the sum total of the inconvenience. Mark 11 staff were excellent from start to finish, from the design to the installation to the organising of rubbish collection. I am very happy with my new kitchen of course everything else does now need decorating as it looks a bit shabby next to nice new worktops and cupboards but to be fair thats not Mark 11 fault they did their job very well.

Please Help. I had a kitchen installed by Tescos back in 2013 and I now find that the 2 sink plug inserts are starting to deteriorate. I find that Mark 2 has gone into administration and Tescos have now closed their kitchen and Bathroom sales rendering their 25 year guarantee worthless. This is typical of the big corporate businesses punishing the "little guy" after they have spent their hard earned cash it is a case of "I'm okay Jack I got your money". Ideally I would like these 2 inserts sent to me for free but I haven't got a cat in hells chance so perhaps one of you might be able to let me know where I can buy these sink traps? Thank you for reading this and I would like an answer Regards p.s I am on a low income and therefore didn't want to ring the 0845 number

Had our kitchen installed 2014 ,just before the withdrawal of Tesco`s input ,which I believe was the downfall of Mark11. I had cause to contact Tesco`s about the Kitchen ,and was told that they were setting up a customer service special unit ,for any problems and to carry on with the Guarantees/Warranties ,for the future Unfortunately I can`t find any details of this in my paperwork ,but I think if you contact their Customer Service ,they could put you in the right direction , think it was a 0800 number. We had a problem with one of the hinges on a kitchen cabinet, they wouldn't come out and fix it, as they said it wasn't really covered by the warranty (?), but as a goodwill gesture they sent a replacement. So my reply would have been to take a photo and email it to Mark Two...BUT, having just read the announcement at the top that they are no longer trading, this might be a fruitless exercise. However you might still want to get in touch with TESCO and see what they say? I'm not sure where it leaves everyone regarding warranties and guarantees when they are no longer trading

We had ours fitted April 2013 and were told when booking the appointment for a survey that the average was about £7000. We went ahead with a new galley style kitchen for £5446 including new oven, hob, sink unit and extractor. Ours was the Roma in vanilla and there were pictures of the finished job on the website. There were also a significant number of Tesco points to take into account which covered the new wall tiles and most of an Ipad. We were extremely pleased with the complete process, everything happened as planned. The only minor hiccup was a couple of days delay with the delivery of the sink unit.

We have a large kitchen and had the Geneva kitchen fitted this summer and it's fantastic. We paid approximately £12,000 which included a larder unit, double oven housing, corner unit with carosel, an island unit, wide cutlery/pan drawer unit and various other floor/wall units. Also the double over, 5 burner hob and extractor, hot tap and s/s sink unit. We had the dark brown worktops as shown in the catalogue and it looks really good. The only thing I would say is that the 'free' dishwasher is a really basic model and if I was doing it again (not likely!), I would buy my own. The only reason we had it was that we inherited the d/w when we moved into the house so didn't know how old it was. It does the job well enough but, as I have said, very basic. The price also included the electrical work (including a couple of new sockets), plumbing (including moving the washing machine) and running a new gas supply from the garage into the kitchen for the gas hob and connection of same by a gas safe plumber.

The cable to the socket has been damaged. Probably a screw going through it when kitchen was fitted!
Report this content redsquirrelsuk Written on: 13/08/2014
Get an electrician to look at it ASAP. This sounds dangerous. Once you have got it sorted send Tesco the bill (keep a copy). Someone should have checked the work after it was done. Have you had your electrical safety certificate yet? They are obliged by law to provide you with this.
Report this content Ranan Written on: 17/08/2014
Sounds like that particular socket is not wired or earthed correctly. I would suggest you call a qualified electrician to take a look before using it again.
Report this content crossfig Written on: 19/08/2014
Do get an electrician to rewire this as soon as possible. There should be no danger, as this is precisely why the circuit is tripped. Try not to use this socket until it is fixed. Do get a receipt for the works and get this back from Tesco. TESCO SHOULD PROVIDE you with an electrical certificate, if they did any electrical work to your property.

I would like to know why Tesco don't check up on peoples satisfaction? I would like to know why 3 months ago we payed £20,000 for a kitchen, we had no appliances apart from a range which has problems with the knobs getting so hot they burn you every time the oven is on. The only appliance we had was the dishwasher which was free.  So we payed £20,000 for some cupboards? They made a big mess of our walls and the plastering job they done was a mess. The tiles are not flush and where they put electrical points there are some gaps. One electrical socket only has one screw that is fitted to the wall the other screw isn't attached to anything, I have been in contact with them and we have had excuse after excuse the last excuse was yesterday when we were told they had to update our phone numbers, our phone numbers hadn't changed! I'm sick of their excuses and their cheap shoddy workmanship. If the problems aren't sorted out iI am going to report it to trading standards.

I would advise you to report it if you don't get satisfactory response from Tesco. We had a project manager who was supposed to answer and follow up all faults and queries and to a certain extent they did. We did complain about some things and some were put right, some were ignored. The workmanship is down to the contractor employed by Tesco to do the work on there behalf. I would first complain to him. We were very fortunate and the guy who did our work was brilliant.

Hi. since our kitchen was finally completed last Christmas, we have had no further contact from them. No one from Mark One was interested enough to check that we were satisfied with the work, or indeed, and more importantly in my opinion, that the work had been finished to their satisfaction. We felt that overall the experience was an extreamly poor one and would definately not recomend Tesco Kitchens to anyone we know. I hope for your sake that you havent given them all the money yet? if you have, I dont imagine you'll ever see them again - sorry! Hope this helps. E Beckett

hi thank you for your answers, i handed over the money before the work even started, they first asked us for £3000 after we had had the plans done then before they even started the work they said we had to pay the balance so we did in full, it's been the worst experience of my life, i'm not satisfied with my kitchen at all. i bought all my own appliances, american fridge freezer etc, i look at the work they've done and i wonder what have i payed £20.000 for, a few cupboards and a bit of grannite, the range they put in you can't touch the knobs when the oven is on, they are so hot, the first time i used it i burnt my fingers they were so hot, i have complained and complained to mark two, about everything they have done, they mad a right mess of my wall when they were putting the points in, and when it was plastered it looked like they had just thrown the plaster at the wall, the plug points have one screw holding and one screw that just goes round and round, it's a big mess. i would never have another tesco kitchen, they woyuld have to pay me £20.000, so far i have got nothing but excuses from mark two, yesterday they tried telling me they had been trying to contact me but both my home phone and mobile phone was out of service, there was nothing wrong with my phones, when i emailed them this fact they said they had the wrong numbers, it's all bull. they had the right phone numbers when they phoned to ask me for the money. i will keep on and on at them and i will go to trading standards,

Sounds like the fitters were not much good. They are responsible for a lot of the issues mentioned. Dont pay their bill until satisfied, if already paid report them to Tesco as they are giving them a bad name. We were lucky with our fitters who were very good..not helpful to you I know but I guess maybe Tesco need to manage their subbies better.

Sounds like a bad installation and service all through. Tesco will never speak to you ref your kitchen. Unforntualy it would be hard for any of the big high street names in kitchens to install it to a high standard as they pay very little for what is charged, under paid staff do POOR work. Use a local independent for your supply and install of furniture it would be right 1st time. To find a resolve for your current problem. Ask a local kitchen fitter to price up to fix what is the problem, if mark two/tesco still do nothing then pay the fitter to sort it and then take them to court, £75.00 and a form easy win.

We too experienced really shoddy plastering and when I phoned to complain, sending photos, they sent back the original fitter, who had subcontracted the plasterer. We did get our wall re-sheeted and plastered as the walls were bumpy and in no way flush. I do agree that Tesco need to arrange follow up visits by an independent to check work, you cannot just send back the original tradesman - they are obviously going to think the work us fine. Our tradesman had signed job off before plasterer had even been......

I've had my kitchen fitted for over 18 months now, and throughout the entire process, my 'project manager' failed time and time again to get in touch. The entire thing was a debacle, and no matter how many times I rang or emailed Mark II (which is actually the name of the kitchen company - they are paying to use Tesco's name) they really couldn't be bothered to respond. This was annoying as well as frustrating. It's SUCH a lot of money to pay out and once you've paid up front, they really didn't seem to care. It wasn't until I put my review on this site that someone from Tesco got in touch, gave Mark II a rocket and things started to get moving. I eventually dealt with a woman who was superb but, unsurprisingly, she no longer works for them. I wish you the very best of luck and hope that by putting your complaint on here, Tesco will respond and get your problems sorted out for you. But you're right. If someone is using their name then, at the very least, they should havve someone checking how poor the quality of work is and getting it resolved immediately. Good luck.

We had our kitchen fitted last year for 10k and were very satisfied with the result. I think a lot depends on the contractor you get. We had one called FixCo who was excellent. We also had a allocated project manager who was quite good at sorting out any problems, we also had our salesmans details and he was also very good at sorting out any problems. I would suggest you call the salesman also.

I would like to add one point also. Only use some one like Tesco if all you want is a basic kitchen and/or appliances. For anything more specialist eg: granite tops non-standard fixtures and fittings then go to your nearest kitchen specialist and pay a bit extra.

I had a project manager I dealt with, she was completely on the ball, so I never had a problem, but I did get all the pre-work done privately, kitchen ripped out, all electrics and plastering completed before the fitters arrived. I can only suggest you write a stern letter detailing all of the faults with photographic evidence, stating that unless you receive a satisfactory resolution you will be seeking legal advice. I don't suppose you paid using your visa as that's a guarantee itself.

hi, yer i payed with my barclays debit card. so i do have the proof how much i payed and who to, once they have your money they don't care. every couple of days i'm getting a phone call to tell me they are going to sort it out but the kitchen fitter is on another job, this is what they are telling me, but i think it's just to shut me up, time will tell, i use to shop with tescos and spend a lot of money every week, i have since changed where i shop, because i feel tescos has an obligation to their customers. it's their loss at the end of the day. i won't stop nagging them until they have put it right. thank you all for youe answers.

I asked how can I remove the drawers? They are not on runners and the draw does not tilt up or down as they are on long metal rails. How can I remove them from these rails?

Assuming they are the sane design as mine, the rails have an "L" profile and there are screws which go into the bottom side of the draw, undoing these should release the draw from the rails.

Usually this is just a question of pulling the draw out as far as it will go then tilting upwards so that the roller disengages from the cabinet. Gently pull out. Be careful if the draw is full it will be heavy.

Well, that will depend 1) Availability of all the parts for your specific Kitchen. 2) Availabliity of Fitter to allocate the time (about 1 week) to fit 3) If you need any additional work to be done to bring your kitchen up to spec - ie. Floors relaying, plastering to be done before hand ect. Talk to your project manager about getting a definite time. hope this helps

Ours was about six weeks but once started, they turned up every day at 7.45 a.m. and did a brilliant job. Plasterers, electricians etc. all organised and turned up as required. The whole job completed in one week.

We were told at initial meeting one period of tome, either 4 or 6 weeks, but when we met with fitter, he advised that would not be possible by him, due to his schedule. He did give us option of trying to get another fitter, but as he was local we waited, thinking if any problems, we would be able to be in touch. Delivery went to plan and fitting took 6 days.

we were told about 2 weeks once it was delivered but it took much longer being fitted as the workmen did not turn up most of the time and it was just a lad doing the work who could not do the electrics or plumbing. I must admit we still grimace when the doors hit the appliances due to teh poor planning.................................

In my case I was able to specify a time after our holiday's and they came at an agreed date to start the work. They appoint a project co-ordinator to you who you can keep in touch with and they ensure that all the materials are delivered prior to the start date. Your need to ensure you have somewhere to store everything. John

My experience was that I ordered and paid deposit mid January and the kitchen installation was from 24th - 28th February - less than 5 weeks. We emptied out the old kitchen one weekend and put things back in new kitchen the following weekend.

I am really worried about paying so much money before the job is done - especially when I have read so many 'bad delivery' reviews. Has anyone got advice for me?

We had our kitchen fitted last June. I just refused to pay all up front from the start. I said I would only order if they let me pat the final 15% on completion. They were fine with this and let me do it. To be honest though, the service was excellent, the after care has been excellent and we are 100% happy with them. I would strongly recommend them even if you had to pay all up front.

I can only speak from my experience but the units were delivered on the date stated stated, approx one week before the scheduled installation date. The installers then arrived as arranged. During the installation the installer opened one of the packets and found a damaged panel; a replacement was ordered by him and arrived the next day. The installation was completed in the time frame given, five days in my case.

We have had our kitchen for over a year now, and one thing I would say is that there was never a problem for us in payment. We paid the deposit upfront and the balance a week before work commenced. I don't think that Tesco are going to do a runner with your money in that respect. Having said that I would make sure by asking the designated fitter if he is happy with all the fittings and equipment that he is being asked to supply. We originally had designs for upwardly opening cupboard doors and when it came to fitting we were told that they were not possible to fit with our supplied cupboard. We were just given ordinary door type. Hope this helps.

I was the same, but after some phoning and searching found that this was quite normal. Delivery etc went fine with us, there was however some issues with the finish, not the fitting I would add though. The fitter did return to resolve this and as he is local we have his mobile number. It is a lot of money to pay out, but when we weighed up what we would have to pay either elsewhere or to do in an alternative method, we took the chance.

We payed up front after paying an initial deposit, we didnt like this at all really but as tesco is such a massive company with quite a large number of fitters signed up with them we decided to go ahead with it. Check the fitters membership of the federation of kitchen installers as they should be in this body, tescos insist on it, also we were told all fitters undergo Tesco checks and inspections. We had somebody down from tescos during and after the work was done. The fitter was excellent, well mannered and electrically registered as well. He arrived prompt all week and the work he did was first class, Tescos even came after to assess and see if we were happy with it. All in all they run a first class operation in our opinion. Kitchen arrived early the day before the start date, we placed it in our garage awaiting inspection from the fitter. Everything was there it really was a first class service from start to finish.

You should have no worries about paying upfront to Tesco. Unlike others in this business, they are a multinational company, and the only circumstances in which you could lose your money would be if they went bust - which is not going to happen in the near future! It is always possible for things to go wrong, but enforcement of your contractual rights (through their complaints procedure)would not be problem. I had my kitchen done without any problems in terms of delivery and installation last June.

It worries me too. Experts tell you not to pay everything up front. If you do what leverage do you have if there is a problem. Negotiate with them to keep some back until you are happy. If they say no go elsewhere. If you can pay on credit card that will you some additional security if things go wrong. Tesco are not the cheapest so why go for them when the reviews are quite poor? I got mine from an independent retailer locally who were much more open to negotiation on price etc.

I did wonder about paying upfront but went ahead felt better when I realised there was no money to be paid by end of work.from start to finish everything went according to plan from on time delivery to the end product went so smoothly updates when required came from project manager and was always ready to help with any queries my fitter worked so hard and well that meant everything to me even though we had a problem with plumbing he sorted with minimal fuss. Quality kitchen great price no problems highly recommended hope this helps.

Our kitchen was all delivered on the date they told us it would be. The kitchen was fitted on time and by a real professional. He was a fully qualified electrician, plumber and gas fitter. As far as the paying 'up front' goes, I'm normally very wary of such companies but because company was backed by the Tesco name I felt reasonably happy. The only problem we had was getting the 10,000 Tesco Clubcard points. It took us 3 months to get them! They told us the rep must have put down the wrong number. . . we were watching him write it down. . . it was the correct number! If you want a safeguard, PAY BY CREDIT CARD, at least that way if the company goes 'belly-up' you'll get your money back. As he replied in his answer, keep a small percentage back and only pay that when you're completely satisfied. Hope this helps!

Understand that you will be buying your kitchen through Mark Two Distributors and not TESCO. Check the brand of the appliances that Mark Two intend to install - is it what you want? Check who is supplying the guarantee - is it TESCO or is it Mark Two?

I had absolutely no problem with the delivery of the kitchen units. They arrived on the date and time as promised. My kitchen fitter( supplied from Tesco) checked all the parts and found something missing so he just phoned head office and got it sent the next day. It was all so easy- you have nothing to worry about. You will be given a co ordinator who phones you almost daily to see if you are satisfied. A huge company like Tesco will not want bad reviews so any queries are dealt with immediately . Most companies want money up front anyway. I would be more worried if it was a small company or someone unknown. Don't forget all your club card points too!

I understand your feelings, I think if it was a smaller firm I would not have agreed to pay it all 'upfront', but I thought that I should be able to trust a firm as large as tesco kitchens. I was not let down at any point - from the first plans, to the last day of fitting the kitchen and utility room. I recently rang Tesco kitchens, over 3 months since I had the kitchen installed, as I had a door handle that had worked loose, and they posted me a replacement straight away, without question. I'm glad I chose a Tesco kitchen, I have heard lots of horror stories from friends that had such a stressful time when having new kitchens fitted - mine really was totally stress free. hope this helps to ease your worries!!

I would go ahead if you think this is the best kitchen for you. They are a big company and will come back if there are problems and you refuse to sign the job off.

Whilst acknowledging your concern I can tell you of my own experience which was very good indeed. The delivery was complete and arrived at the anticipated time. I was sent a photograph to help me estimate the amount of storage I would need between delivery on a Thursday and start of the installation the following Monday. All went as described on the tin. We took the view that neither Tesco nor Mark II would want to risk their reputation. They were brilliant and we are pleased we put our trust in them.

Do not use them. They take all the money for a reason. So you will be stuck with the kitchen. Customer services become aggressive once your kitchen is fixed. They wont tell you now but they claim they are not responsible for any mistakes made by their fitter. so lets say the fitters break something in your new kitchen. They will refuse to replace it. If you do decide to go with them. watch the fitters closely and make sure everything is done well. Also make sure all the cupboards are in good working condition. wait a few days before you sign off the job. Goodluck. Personally I would not use them again. I would buy from ikea or jewes and get a local fitter to do it.

Hi, I felt the same having been caught out before with 'bad service', but if you negotiate to pay an amount which suits you as I did, if you have a good credit record, there is not a problem. Then we paid it all up when we were satisfied it was as we wanted it to be.....the service was super, delivery packs to our garage Or a neighbours if you are stuck for room and the cutting of bits to make it fit was all outside and no mess...only thing to watch is to cover any nearby room furniture with sheets if you can't stand dusting afterwards....e.g. the Dining Room if near the kitchen, and keep doors closed! Guys fitting the kitchen were brilliant, worked very hard, no messing about with cups of T, good humoured and had great advice for me in my kitchen plan to make it work better...they know their stuff! So have confidence and go for it! Cheers, Dyan

One important thing to remember: Everything is up for negotiation with your salesman before the order is signed. He will be desperate for your order so get as much out of him as you can. DO NOT accept his first quote and be prepared to walk away, I can guarantee he wont let you, after all hes just spent an afternoon of his time with you. Secondly pay only a small deposit up front not more than 10% then agree to pay in installments after certain stages eg: after delivery, after prep work, after cupboards installed, after appliances installed, after tiling done etc. Also leave final payment (10%) when all is done to your satisfaction. And if he doesn't agree to it in writing, walk away. I did this and was satisfied at every stage. Remember to take the salesmans contact details also.

I don't know as I was just a customer not a member of staff. Give Tesco kitchens a ring directly and ask the question. The price we paid was very competitive and we did get 20000 (£200) club card points when it was all done and paid.

yes I think that you would qualify for your staff discount but once you have put in a request for a price the kitchen manager that you are signed will be able to confirm this .
