“Nightmare!”

BE WARNED:DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY WHATSOEVER! Steer clear! Do not order your kitchen from this company if you value your health and want a stress free experience spend that bit more with a local or national company and you'll avoid the tensions I'm going through right now. I made the mistake of ordering a high gloss black kitchen from them way too early in my kitchen build project. I fell for the salesman's pitch - buy now or loose the huge discounts they give! As soon as I ordered they were eager to deliver the goods. I managed to hold off for a month. The sales guy didn't even have the decency to state that I was no where near ready to have a kitchen installed as he could see that only the walls were up at that time but I shouldn't blame him for my stupidity. The delivery man stated during his drop off that I was way off installing anything! Having received the delivery in April last year I didn't manage to open the goods until end of January this year and assumed everything was delivered and I never once thought about damage, incorrect or missing items. To my dismay and that of my fitter we found more than 80% of items damaged,  missing or incorrect pieces. The items don't come with the relevant holes etc and the sizes are out! I even had to request the instructions from them-they weren't sent. There were big chips, scratches and dents in the goods. The strange thing is the items come wrapped in layers of bubble wrap and cardboard so you can't understand how these are possible! The fitters initial quote of 4 days has run up and we're still no where near finishing (not least because I'm still waiting for the 3rd delivery and apparently it's only delivered when they have a delivery in my area so when they give you a date for delivery it isn't true - They've moved mine three times now - that's great customer service for you! Today I'm being told I can't have a replacement door because I didn't notify the damage to it on the first email! They don't have anyone that can speak with you on the telephone and nor do the individuals offer a pleasant customer service in writing- well this one man who is extremely irritating. Each time I have had to send 3 or 4 emails to eek out why I wasn't getting the replacement item. I'm still waiting for a reply and someone to just say we'll send this one item along with my this delivery! Hopefully he'll send it to his superiors and they'll see sense and his unreasonable approach. I received a second delivery and even this they couldn't get right. It's appaulling. Please don't get your self into bother. It's not worth it. I hope they do the decent thing and resolve my problems soon. They don't seem to get my complaint that these delays are causing me extra financial stress - money I simply don't have!

I honestly have not got the energy to write war and peace with this review due to the wasted hours on the phone to this company to be told I would be called back and 3 weeks later still no call. I have nothing but bad things to say about this company. I am currently in the process of taking legal action against them. Please please please avoid them at all costs. I know their prices are cheap but so is the whole company. Pay the money and get something decent from a reputable trustworthy company.

Hi, we had our kitchen in July 2014 up to now we have had 2 doors vinyl explode took weeks and weeks hours and hours on hold and finally got replaced, now we have an exploded drawer, all gloss units have fracture lines in them and vinyl sagging, oven has broke cannot use at all, sink waste pipe came off all plug fittings corroded, so water all over cupboard and onto wood flooring which has now swelled, all soft close hinges have dropped out a small plastic piece and now don't soft close and the colour of cupboards to trims don't match. We are gutted we had to pay for this via a loan so paying for something not fit for purpose, got told to email valuekitchenscustomerservices and it's a non existent address and we can't get hold of anyone and no longer trading as Stil Haus kitchens we don't no what to do advice would be very much appreciated with two young children no oven and a death trap of kitchen we are pretty much screwed

“Rubbish Company ”

written by Azam21 on 22/01/2015

Initially was very pleased with the low prices compared to competitors so wasted no time in placing order. Was misinformed by designer that carcasses would come made when arrived were flat pack when called to query this i was spoken to soooo rudely by so called 'customer service assistant' and even ruder by the supervisor who told me it was my word against his and "NOTHING WILL BE DONE ABOUT IT". Then on top of that when kitchen was in the process of being fitted many parts were missing when called up no one would deal with the issue promptly instead was told someone would call back within 24 hours...WHAT A JOKE my fitter was waiting and ended up charging me more for the delay as he had other commitments. When finally someone returned my call again was spoken to one rude individual who whilst i had placed her on hold for a minute whilst i discussed something with my fitter was calling me names (I CANNOT EXPRESS IN WORDS HOW ANGRY I FELT AT THE TIME) she said the soonest they can deliver the missing parts was 4 working days later....so firstly they fail to admit liability then are not willing to compensate. I am a RETAIL MANAGER and know what customer service means to a company but STILHAUS kitchens are by far the WORST COMPANY i have ever had to deal with. I would STRONGLY STRONGLY ADVISE NOT TO PURCHASE FROM THEM AT ALL....THEIR MOTO IS GET THE MONEY AND FORGET ABOUT THE CUSTOMER....

“Not perfect but...!”

written by Splodge21 on 11/10/2014

Designer came round, 30 mins later one kitchen arranged. No hard sell, I had to contact him! Ordered it and within a few weeks it was delivered. As you pay cash on demand i recommend you check thoroughly when delivered. I didn't... When the fitters arrived they informed me there were some parts missing. Filled with dread I contacted their office expecting the cold shoulder. Instead a warm northern accent assured me that the missing parts would be sent out pronto, guess what? They were, not only that but the parts arrived and a couple had been damaged in transit so I contacted them again... guess what? more parts arrived to replace these, no quibbles! I have had dealings with the larger manufacturers and I can garauntee you this is the best service I have ever recieved. Bargain kitchen that's solid and looks amazing... as i said Not Perfect But...

“Be warned Beware”

Stilhaus Kitchens, ‘The Old Emmanuel Church’ Bold street, Warrington WA1 1DE REVIEW I ordered my kitchen from StilHaus Kitchens Warrington and had their recommended fitters. I had read nothing but good reviews and sincerely hoped I would be able to add to them. This is how they treated me. Response to having a design appointment was speedy. Design gentleman sold me a Millennium Beech kitchen with silver galaxy granite splash backs and worktops to run full lengths of my units no joins. They do not do splash backs only up stands and they do not do silver they only do gold galaxy. They only do just over 2 metres so anything more you have cuts/joins in. I was told the installation would take 3 days I am now into week 6 with no functioning kitchen. The kitchen comes flat packed, they tell you that you don’t have to pay until the kitchen is delivered however there is no possible way of you checking all the parts and pieces prior to handing over your money. They only deal in cash. The carcasses will come in white with a purple tint unless you ask for beech coloured again apparently a misunderstanding with the design expert when I stated I wanted a beech kitchen. WEEK 1 Delivery Monday 24th March 2014, fitters arrived Tuesday 25th stayed an hour found bits missing and left because they didn’t want to leave me without a kitchen. Fitters returned Friday 28th March ripped out old kitchen removed sink disconnected taps, fitted base units. When the fitters opened the door packages they found the doors were of a substandard quality with marks under the finished surface. I refused to accept these doors and they were exchanged however this led to a further delay. The advice of the fitters was not to go for beech slab door as they were most probably all the same and on their advice I opted for a gloss white. WEEK 2 On inspecting the kitchen that had been installed so far I was not very happy with the work. Several of the cupboards had been split were they had been screwed together. They had cut my metal extractor leaving jagged edges showing. They had fitted the wall units so it left an inch of wall between the cupboard and the stainless steel back splash. Plinths in places did not fit to the floor and one was fitted leaving the edge of the tile exposed. The wall cupboards on the left had been unevenly fitted. However the fitters were not finished so I wrote a snag list and took photos for their return. No sign of fitters waiting for new doors. WEEK 3 Granite fitted Tuesday 8th April and it was only when they arrived to fit I was informed they do not do the silver galaxy and only do gold. For some reason they tried to talk me out of the sink I had picked and offered me a square Belfast type one, perhaps because it’s easier to cut. New doors arrived Thursday 10th April, but no fitters, into week 4 still no functioning kitchen, having to get water from upstairs. Two doors still missing which fitters have said they will pick up. I questioned regarding a refund as I did not have granite up stands was told to withhold £180 however later when questioned about a refund for not fitting the up stands this has just been ignored. WEEK 4 Thursday 17th April fitters came and reconnected my water and fitted some of the cupboard doors. They found one of the larder units to be totally blown and ran out of hinges, left saying they would return at some point. I pointed out all the faults I had found and they blamed the splitting of the cupboards on the substandard quality. The cooker hood they took down put in a piece of wood put it back and used some filler still a 2cm gap and an eyesore. The uneven gaps they say that they were only going of the plan. Nowhere on the plan did it show to leave uneven spacing of the cupboards just lack of thought and planning by them. Didn’t think things could get any worse, last straw with the fitters they did not check that the outlet was connected properly so my store room was flooded. I have spent my bank holiday weekend clearing up the water and trying to salvage things. One of the doors the fitters brought has a chip in so have reordered. Wednesday 23rd April waited all morning for delivery of larder unit and door, phone call at 1pm to say hadn’t gone on the van would phone back in 1 minute with a delivery day, unbelievable incompetents. No phone call back I phoned them at 16.00hrs usual rigmarole of being put on hold and then being cut off. Finally phone call back will deliver Monday 28th April, unbelievable. WEEK 5 Absolute idiots, Monday 28th April waited till 20.24 hours for delivery only to find they have delivered a beech door and beech larder unit when my kitchen is white will they ever get anything right. Email sent, response “We are dealing with this” no apology. Tuesday 29th APRIL phone call to say will be delivered Thursday 1st MAY 2014. Phone call 11.30 Thursday 1st MAY “apologies won’t be delivered today not in your area, will be tomorrow now”........ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVEABLE. I asked customer services if the driver would phone me first thing to give me an idea of time of delivery she said they would. Friday 2nd May surprise surprise no phone call. Phone call at 14.50 hours to say they would be 35 minutes. 15.17 delivery arrived DO NOT BELIEVE THIS FIRM have sent a white larder unit and a BEECH DOOR. Spoke to customer complaints they will try and get door out one day next week. She would phone me to let, me know when this would be. WEEK 6 Tuesday 6th April ....No surprise no phone call Wednesday 7th April courier delivers door just as well I was in. I am now getting local fitters to finish the job. Customer service is appalling the most unhelpful, rude and unenthusiastic people I have ever spoken to (of course that is when you finally get through). The complaints supervisor does not listen to you and constantly talks over you, very rude. According to her an upstand is the same as a splashback. She tells you what the design expert said to you even though she wasn’t present. I have sent numerous emails and the only response to them is they have been passed on or will be dealt with shortly I am still waiting for a response. The design expert is quite clearly not an expert as he does not know what he is selling or what the company actually can supply and neither do the showroom sales assistants or is it that they just don’t care as long as they get your order they will tell and sell you anything knowing they can’t even supply it. The fitters recommended by them turned aggressive and started shouting at me when I wanted to know when I could expect them to finish understandable in a way because the products being supplied are substandard and they are on the frontline getting it in the neck off the customers. However I also found the work they did do very unsatisfactory. They blame the company and the company blames them for delays and shoddy work is blamed on the substandard kitchen being supplied. I paid just over £5000 in total and have ended up with a totally different kitchen than the one I ordered and paid for. I ordered a millennium beech kitchen with silver galaxy granite worktops and splashbacks with cup handles and a chrome tap with black head. I have ended up with a white kitchen with white gloss doors. Galaxy gold granite with joins, no splashback, chrome twist handles, and a chrome shower type tap which the fitters refused to fit because they say 99% of them leak. The only part of the kitchen that I ordered and got was the sink, everything else I have had to compromise on even down to the handles and tap. Handles and taps apparently are free so if they haven’t got the ones you have picked tough. So my advice, GO ELSE WHERE or make sure you have them put everything in writing to the letter you will need it for court. Question the design expert and make him put it in writing when you order exactly what he is selling you, a guarantee in writing that they can supply and how long it will take. Get your own fitters. As mammoth a task as it is check every part, door and cupboard before you start or you could end up without a kitchen for over 6 weeks. They boast about not having a single bad review but I think this maybe because they monopolize the websites with Stilhaus in their search.

I also bought a Stilhaus Kitchen, I ordered a stainless steel oven and hob, I got a black oven and was told they don't have any more stainless ones, the kitchen was short of 2 doors which took 2 months to arrive, I now have the coating lifting on 1 door and customer services are not even answering the phone anymore.
I have done some research into the company and it turns out they import everything from China, The Necht appliances are imported in by Maple Industries and rebranded with a German sounding name, this lot should be avoided at all cost

“BEWARE....A Lucky Escape from a 'dodgy' company”

written by Murray440 on 23/03/2014

We saw the advert on facebook with lots of nice pictures and cheap prices, so we booked an appointment. The designer turned up and promised my wife everything she wanted. Even though the price was double what they were advertising we went ahead and paid the £100 deposit. The designer only left us with an A3 size, yellow coloured carbon copied paper which was virtually unreadable. After approx 1 week, i phoned to find out what was happening with our order only to be told that another designer would have to come out as the previous designer had agreed a kitchen/specification with us that they couldn't supply. Eventually, after a further 2 weeks, another designer arrived and he said that he would try to find a way to get a kitchen as we originally ordered. This was a gloss black kitchen with a wood cladded surround. After ANOTHER 2 weeks waiting, the same designer returned with a lump of raw oak in his hand and said that they would supply that and that my fitters would have to cut it, treat it, stain it and fit it to the kitchen cupboards!! We decided to not proceed with the cladding and just stick with plain black cupboards as by now we were getting tired of the delays and the hassle of it all. Again, the price rose by another £1000 now! We made a new agreement and the designer promised that he would supply me with a detailed plan of the kitchen together with a detailed breakdown of the components and specification/CAD drawings within a couple of days as the yellow coloured paper that they leave is unreadable. After another week, i got a phone call from them asking me when i would like the kitchen delivered...to which i replied that i was STILL waiting for the plans and breakdown/spec to be sent to me. After ANOTHER week, they phoned again asking the same question. I said that i will NOT be proceeding until i received the information that i had requested and been promised on numerous occasions. After a few days, i sent an email to them formally requesting this information to which they replied that they would send it to me 'tomorrow'. Yes, you've guessed it....i didn't hear a word from them! After another week waiting i gave up. I have emailed them 4 times now, requesting the return of my £100 deposit due to their broken promises, misleading website/designers and lack of promised information and i have STILL had no reply!!! How can i go ahead and order a kitchen that i don't know what i'll be getting, as the piece of paper that they leave is totally unreadable and they don't have any brochures, catalogues or literature to leave you. I will now have to go to Trading Standards as i believe that they won't be replying or returning my deposit. Don't trust this company...

Well, after reading mixed reviews about this company I was in two minds as whether to try them or not but after some deliberation, decided to give them a try. So thankful I did. From ordering to fitting they were true to they're word. For a no frills company, they treated me like I was they're only customer. My kitchen is beautifully fitted and I saved several thousand pounds as many other kitchen companies were charging much more for the same style of kitchen. The cabinets, doors and all accessories are very good quality much better than many other kitchen companies on the market. My advice, try them you will be very please try surprised. Thank you Stilhaus, from a extreamley grateful customer.

“Search on Companies House for StilHaus or Stil Haus...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Hardingon8 on 11/03/2014

SEARCH THE COMPANIES HOUSE REGISTER TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE A BONE FIDE COMPANY BEFORE PARTING WITH CASH. I wanted to do my due diligence before they came to measure up (and I parted with cash)...so I checked them out on Companies House. No company with the name of StilHaus kitchens! So (only a dissolved company). So I called them - and asked them for the name of their registered company. The chap in the show room could not tell me. Told me to call customer services. So I did. The customer services chap didn't know the name of the Registered company either. I asked if he could confirm the registration number - No! So I then asked for some of the names of the Directors. He said he didnt like my questions and hung up! The chap came to measure up - asked me to "put the kettle on".... I explained that I'd had trouble locating the company with companies house - and asked him if he had a card or any literature with their details on. He said NO... then said he didnt want to measure up my kitchen after all and left! He didn't like my questions either? I would NEVER pay money to a company if I cant confirm that they are a genuine trading company - so why were they so offended at my questions? Dodgy if you ask me! No cheap kitchen for me.... but I think you pay for quality and peace of mind!

Susan_J's Comment

Another nonsense comment. First of all the person that posted this comment says that they would never deal with a company that they could not confirm that they are a genuine trading company. So he says that he called the company and asks them for the name of their registered company and not only could they not tell him but they put the phone down on him. He looks at companies house and sees that the only company with this name is a dissolved company. Then he calls customer services and they also could not give him the registered company details and they hung up. And after all that he invites them around to his house to give him a price for his kitchen. How can this person expect anyone to believe such dribble. Just another competitor that cannot compete. This is wrong that this site allows such dribble to be posted on here. It is so obvious that this comment is fake as no one would go ahead with inviting someone around to their home after what he has said.
And just to top it off for your information. Only LTD companies are registered at companies house and this is a sole proptietor company and companies house do not have details of sole proprietor companies so that would explain why no one could answer the questions even if they had been asked in the first place. The very fact that competitors of this company are willing to go to such lenghs to discredit this company just stinks

Dear "Susan_j" (aka Stil Haus Kitchens community troll).
I am indeed a REAL person and Im certainly NOT a competitor.....

The situation did in actual fact happen! Speak to the customer services team and they will confirm! Speak to the chap from Warrington - who came to measure up! - he will also confirm. He told me he was just a contractor who got paid a pittance for measuring up the kitchen and drawing a plan ... he also told me he did these manually - no fancy software for them!

BEWARE BUYERS - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

I had a kitchen from stilhaus back in late August of last year. I was initially attracted to the extraordinary prices they were offering. On first appearances I thought this cannot be true. Then after reading they're full offers and the fact they do not charge untill after the delivery was made, I thought I must give them a try. I am very great full I decided to do just that, the sales staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for me. They booked a designer, who turned up on time and talked me through all the kitchen paraphernalia, and I went ahead and ordered my Durham White gloss kitchen, with a down deposit of £100.00.a time was then agreed for delivery which turned up a couple of weeks later. The delivery driver was very helpful and help me unpack all the boxes and check them with. Me accordingly, one by one which, in turn I was very great full of as suffer with severe arthritis and without his kind offer of assistance I wouldn't of been able to manage. My kitchen was fitted a day later by my own fitters, and have to say, it's a lovely sturdy and solid kitchen for the price. So thank you stil haus and your staff for making me a very happy customer and saving me a small fortune.
