I approached Optiplan (Thatcham) on a friend's recommendation and I can't thank him enough.

Marcia was brilliant, listening to my requirements and designing a kitchen for my needs and within my budget. We discussed numerous permutations of the design, materials and finishes over a period of weeks and Marcia was extremely responsive and patient.

In addition to Optiplan supplying their own contracted installers, they also recommended a builder for the prep-work before the kitchen could be installed (I was knocking through an adjacent room to extend the kitchen). He did a fantastic job and everyone involved from the designer, surveyor, builder, plumber, electrician, fitter and the granite company worked seamlessly. Diane in Swindon played a major part in this by handling the logistics and keeping me updated of any changes.

Howard the fitter was great, he's 'old school' meaning does things properly and doesn't take short cuts. His re-plumbing underneath the sink to allow for the installation of a water softener is a work of art. It's refreshing to meet people that deliver what's right for the customer and not the quickest route to completion.

Ultimately if you're in the market for a quality kitchen that's built to last and designed for you, you should visit Marcia / Optiplan (Thatcham) and if nothing else use them as benchmark for design and customer service, you won't be disappointed.
