I had the misfortune of purchasing a howdens kitchen and lamona cooker, dishwasher and induction hob. The Hob has broken, and we are 7 days without a repair. The Howdens depot dont care, as once its left them, its out of their hands, i've been informed. Then the service centre send out and engineer who looked at the appliance for 20 minutes and decided he didnt have the part, and left the unit unscrewed and not re-installed. The person at the customer service dept, promises a call back, but fails to deliver. They wont do a simple exhange eith. So you are left with a faulty hob that will never be repaired.

so one faulty hob constitutes a misfortune. I am surprised the depot was unhelpful, but you would not get an exchange on an electrical appliance from any supplier not just Howden's, so yes annoying, but research the consumer law before you complain.

I would go back to the depot manager, you are calling service company NOT HOWDENS. This company repair for many of the big national companies...

How dare the customer complain that he paid for a faulty hob and got poor customer service! According to Sale of Goods Act, the retailer is responsible for problems with goods, not the manufacturer, so it's Howden's responsibility which they will do anything in their power to wriggle out of
