ODINA Kitchen not delivered - AGAIN!

We went to Homebase, thinking they were a quality retailer, with a good reputation.
We initially anticipated we would like delivery of our kitchen for the 7th November. It came apparent that that delivery couldn't be met due to the kitchen coming from Germany. External factors. Fair enough.

On confirmation that our kitchen would be in the UK, we requested delivery for 19th November. The day before that, homebase re-confirmed the delivery, and I took the day off work to receive it. On the day of the scheduled delivery, I had not received the confirmation of the times lot from the delivery company, so I called them. To my horror I was told my kitchen was due for delivery on the 25th December. Yes, on Christmas Day. Nuts!

To cut a long story short, when homebase had re-confirmed to me the day before to expect my delivery, that had not bothered to double check with the delivery company. Fatal error on their behalf, as if they did, they could have resolved the matter before I wasted a day off work for nothing.

1 week later, or rescheduled delivery was booked in for today. Yesterday I called DX, and they re-assured me the delivery was guaranteed for today.

Today. No delivery. Seems to get this delivery to me, that scheduled it as an extra delivery at the end of the day. My delivery slot was between 2-5 pm. Online tracking showed no trace of my delivery, and again I called dx. Again I was reassured delivery would be today.

By 4:40, no delivery. I called dx, and they refused to look into my delivery, until it had been missed.

5pm. Delivery now missed. I could call back. No one could contact the driver. In this day and age??? Surely they have vehicle tracking? After all, they are delivering my £13,000 kitchen.

It took another hour to eventually be told that the driver simply ran out of driving time for the day. Then the lies. Next I was told the driver got a puncture. Which is true? Ran out of driving hours, or got a puncture? Either way, I have no kitchen.

Delivery rescheduled for tomorrow. Can't say I have any confidence it will arrive.

If you read this, please, please think twice before buying from homebase. And this is from a previously very loyal customer.
