This was a day later than arranged as a previous customer didn’t do what they said they would do so Intoto did it for them. We were on holiday for the first week to avoid all the noise and general disruption associated with demolishing an old kitchen. We came back on Friday afternoon to find everything out of the kitchen except our old washing machine and all the plastering work done. Our fitter (Jimmy) had made amazing progress considering the delayed start. He also said that he was going to come in on Saturday morning to try and catch up. Into Kitchens’ director (Stuart) telephoned to check everything was OK. We had a meeting prior to work starting and handed over a list of contacts in case anything happened while we were on holiday including mobile phone numbers.
Saturday 5 May
Electrician came during the morning to do all the electrics. We chose Intoto kitchens because they are in a trade association and also are in an approved franchise organisation as well. They had a good choice of kitchen styles and were able to put together what we wanted and show us a computer generated image of what the chosen kitchen would look like. We could choose the colours, surfaces appliances, sinks, style of door and drawer handles plus under sink storage boxes.
Tuesday 8 May
The kitchen was delivered this morning. The director of Intoto kitchens (Stuart) was in attendance. It came from Germany and was stored nearby by Intoto until required. The next day the gas hob was installed by a GAS SAFE Engineer. By the end of Thursday the sink, cupboards and ovens had been done. Our washing machine hose had a small leak. Jimmy said he would deal with it and have it working again. He had set it up so we could use the machine while the work was being done. He works really hard and seems to care about what he is doing.
Monday 14 May
Kitchen floor screeding done – need to leave for 24 hours to set.
Wednesday 16 May
New Kitchen floor complete – we are happy with our choice. VERY IMPORTANT We used a flooring contractor Intoto had worked with before – if you don’t, make sure they don’t adjust the feet the fitted cupboards rest on as damage can occur if they are adjusted by the flooring contractor.
Friday 18 May
Painter spent the day in the kitchen and finished on the Saturday morning – the result was excellent.


Tuesday 29 May
Splashback glass we chose was due to be fitted but supplier had produced this in the wrong colour – Intoto picked this up and asked for the work to be re-done and apologised to us.
Saturday 16 June
Jimmy has fitted all the glass. Our kitchen is now finished and the difference is amazing.
Monday 18 June
Stuart called to see us by appointment to make sure we liked our new kitchen – which we do. Also we paid the final instalment. We have been given certificates for the electrical and gas work done plus an insurance bond for the work done by Intoto Kitchens. Intoto Kitchens only use first class people to carry out the work.
July 2012
Pleased with our kitchen and the drawer and cupboard space. Choosing 2 ovens is good but having a sink flush with the worktop surface means that water does splash over. We are glad we chose Intoto Kitchens and feel that the extra expense was worth it.
