Bought this £6 kettle to replace a 6-year old similar Tesco Value Cordless Kettle which had to be replaced owing to slight water leakage from the heating element gasket probably the result of old age and very frequent use. To my eyes, it is a little more stylish than the old model and now has a positively locking lid. Maximum capacity (1.7 litres) and power consumption (max. 2,000 watts) remain the same. Can't see any point whatsoever in paying more (and it could be considerably more)... (read more)
