We have been customers of M&S for over fifty years - which speaks for itself!
We visited your Colliers Wood store today & spent in excess of £250 on many items in the ladies & gents departments.
My wife had ocassion to visit the changing rooms several times and during these visits I engaged the attendants in conversation. I suggested to one of them, being of a "certain age", in order to rest her feet/legs and back during quiet periods she should have a chair. She advised me that it was against company policy for them to sit down. I was horrified.
I beseech you to review this ruling which I am sure would really be appreciated by the staff concerned.
I hope on my next visit to this store that it will be apparent to me that the great M&S has listened to my plea.
