Not to be trusted

I applied with Reed to find employment. I met an advisor so she could "pitch me better". Two hours later she pitched me in an (not very well written) email to my current employer. My employer now knows I am looking for alternative employment which is awkward to say the least.

It was very obviously me being described in the email but when I challenged Reed I was told it was not me but:
someone with the same name,
working in the same town,
at the same stage in her qualification,
with the same number of years experience,
looking to change employer for the same reason,
with experience in the same areas,
working for the same sized company with the same turnover and the same number of sites,
previously working for multi site companies (again same number of sites).

I pointed out that this was more than a little unbelievable but they would not budge from their stance.

Just admit you made a mistake and stop treating people like they are stupid!

If that's what Reed thinks of their candidates, I'd rather not work with them and I would advise others not to.
