“leather pandora bracelet”

★☆☆☆☆

written by crystaltigs on 15/02/2014

I purchased a leather bracelet as a present in march 2013, my friend is now on her 3rd replacement...the bracelet had came away from the silver clasp. First time August, replaced, second time December and now again. I purchased one for myself in April 2013, mine started to unwind at the clasp..first one strip and then a second.
The customer service in Cabot circus, bristol, is beyond poor. I've been in contact with Pandora direct but as each shop is an individual franchise there is nothing they can do as it's down to the individual shop's discretion as to what they class as wear and tear.
The following is from Pandora directly, the leather has a 6 months guarantee, where the leather is attached to the silver clasp it's 12 months.
If your bracelet starts to unravel, they will tell you it's wear and tear...it isn't, I confirmed this with a fully qualified independent jeweller.
My friend obtained a replacement bracelet with this information at hand, I didn't!
The jewellery isn't marketed as dress wear and no advice or after care is given at point of sale.
If you have a problem with these bracelets, go direct to Pandora and obtain this info and stand your ground. I'm pursuing mine with trading standards and watchdog. The £40 bracelet only had one charm so no weight to stretch or weaken it....an independent jeweller will say wear and tear is no excuse!
Save your money and go elsewhere, I'm purchasing a silver bracelet from Thomas sabo, Pandora will have no more money from me. To put it in perspective the scrap value for a silver Pandora bracelet is £1!!!
