advertise incorrect price - Rochdale Store

01/04 myself and my husband went into the Rochdale branch. We were browsing in the window and I saw a Amaya Real Sterling Silver Charm Bracelet advertised in the window at £22.00. I asked the sales assistant if I could try it on and I also checked the price was correct which she assured me it was. The bracelet fit, therefore I set about choosing charms to also purchase. I choose 3 charms in total. This would have brought the total bill to £47.00 which the sales assistant also wrote down on her pad. Then the ‘manager’ said to the shop assistant we were dealing with to ‘go on her break’ and she would take over. She then informed us the price was wrong for the bracelet. I tried to explain that it was advertised in the shop at £22.00 and offered to show her where exactly but she bluntly informed us ‘no it is £29.00’.
Myself and my husband had no option but to leave the shop. This was a very upsetting experience as the ‘manager’ was so rude to us. Not only should the manager have been a lot more polite to us, but also she should have honoured the price as it was advertised at £22.00 and it is not our fault if the shop ‘mis-advertise’ product prices.
I emailed head office expressing my concern and upset to be basically in a nut shell told 'tough human error'.
So my advise is take no notice of the prices in the shop window as if they want they will decide they are wrong and don't bother contacting head office as you won't get anywhere as the customer is never right as far as they are concerned!!
