I am terribly upset of how i am being blamed for the lose of my diamond from h.samuals.I had my ring re rhodiumed in the Ormskirk branch, and after having the ring back for 3 days (in which I only wore it once, as I go to college) I noticed a diamond had fell out. I took it back again that same day to see if they could fix it as it was still under guarantee. The staff said they would send the ring off to see if it can be cleaned. After a coulpe of days I rung them back and had been told that it will cost me £84 to fix, as their repair man had said it was down to "customer damage".
The ring was a gift of my boyfriend last April, which ment alot to me, so I know I had taken care of it. What annoyed me the most was the Price. the rings itself was only £189, how they worked out the price to fix it is beyond me. I rung the manager of the store to find her very unhelpful, and when I asked her to explain to me what was wrong with it she ignored the question. I later asked for my money back as i knew it must have happened during cleaning, she she replied "Or What".which To me is a threat. She still didnt explain the damage!
I have since been on to Trading & Standards and their H,samual's customer service, which i am still waiting to hear off them.
I am really not happy about this and it has upset me very much when I know I have looked after my ring,for them to turn and say its my fault the damage was caused.
All I want is my money back
