PLease do not buy from this shop for Christmas ! You will be very disappointed if it has a fault. My fiancé bought me a Tag watch, it was a gift for a bad experience I had in life. I was very happy in getting my Tag watch and only wore my watch on special occasions. One year later my watch stopped ticking and o returned it to braehead Goldsmith, to be told by the manager it was a batter and would cost me £80. I left the shop and googled how long a battery should last in a Tag watch, I then returned to store and spoke to another sales assistant, I was then told my watch didn't run on a battery it's automatic. I was told my watch would be sent away and repaired free. After 8 weeks I received a phone call, which I was told my watch would cost me £325! This was done through impact. I disputed this as I had not damaged the watch. This company continued to refer to my warranty didn't cover the watch, and took no responsibility, even when I told them the watch had not been damaged. I advised the company that my statutory rights are over and above any warrant under the sales of good act 1974 and my dispute is with them as the retailer and not the manufacturer. This company will not take any responsibility. I have now not been able to wear my Tag watch from April 2016.
Please do not buy from here they are awful. I have now took this to my credit card company and under the credit card act they are paying for the repair! Not Goldsmiths. I have also contacted Watchdog and the retail omnibus,
as I feel I will not be the only person that has had a terrible experience in returning faulty goods. I will continue to highlight in every way possible how bad this company treated me.
The stress It has caused is awful and should not be the case, when your purchasing expensive, ment to be timeless pieces. I am warning people on Facebook, instigram, family and friends not to shop here, there are so many good jewellers out there. I will continue to do what I can to prevent people from being disappointed by this shop.
Please anyone that has had the same experience let watchdog know as I'm onto the just now! The more people that highlight the bad service the better.

This is very true I have had a similar bad experience with getting a battery replaced in a watch, so far it has taken over two months, this relates to Chelmsford Branch. Shoppers Beware you have been warned. Yes they are very good at selling you high end jewellery and watches but their service is non existent.
