The Jaguar XK series - XK8 and XKR - is the replacement of the XJS, available as coup and convertible since 1997. The supercharged version is known as the XKR. The XK8 was the first 8 cylinder vehicle produced by Jaguar. Both the XK8 and XKR are electronically limited to a max of 155mph and come standard with a navigation system and self-leveling Xenon headlamps for the XKR and as options for the XK8. Jaguars Adaptive Cruise Control is an optional feature available on both models. Both come with all-leather interior, burl walnut trim and side airbags. In 2005 the XK was relaunched, pushing the values of GT sports car motoring further. In 2006 the XKR pushed the boat out even further. Basically the XKR Series is a combination of supercar performance and optimum performance grand tourer. The latest model is an impressive all rounder with 4.2 L supercharged V8 engines and all over luxury features, including 20ins Setanta Alloy wheels. The Jaguar XK was Car of the Year and GT of the Year at the Top Gear 2006 Awards, the first time Jaguar won this award from the biggest selling UK motoring publication.

Jaguar XKR Arden Sports Car ReviewI had heard of Arden through their racing exploits over the years but never knew they did performance upgrades for customer cars. What a revelation!
The stock XKR is not a slouch but it never felt as taut as it could but some of the options available through Arden address this in spades.
The options are pricey but they are worth it. The standard BHP was around 400 but it is now nearer to 500 and torque is up as well. The exhaust has been ...
