The Jaguar XJ is the British firms popular high-mark luxury saloon with a considerable history and status in British motoring. The XJ was launched in 1968 as the Jaguar flagship model which it continues to hold through to this day. It was the last Jaguar saloon to benefit from input from Jaguar founder Sir William Lyons. There are numerous models spread over 5 series from the XJ12 version, with a 5.3 L V12 engine, launched in 1972, to Jaguars 2007 400bhp 4.2 litre supercharged V8 - which has the ability to speed from 0-60mph in 5.0 seconds. The 2007 Jaguars sports suspension and powerful R braking system adds to the high performance. Signature features include 20ins Cremona wheels, R leather seats, aluminium finish power vents and black painted brake callipers. The XJ is the finest exponent of Jaguars lightweight aluminium technology in which it is a world leader and which has helped revive its fortunes among the worlds best luxury cars. In the UK the Jaguar XJ is a popular vehicle boasting over 20 per cent market share in the large luxury segment. In 2006 sales were up 25 per cent over the previous year. These cars are modern classics which do justice to the class of the original 60s and 70s models. The XJ's awards in recent years include Luxury Car of the Year in the Business Car Awards.

Jaguar XJ Series 4.2 Super V8 LWB 4dr is superb to drive handles like a dream very comfortable and a good mph. Wheels need covers on the back to stop break dust damaging wheels and stop making them black with the dust. Having had this model and the older models this is by far the best.

I drive a couple of cars, Bentley gt, Ferrari 430 spider and a Range Rover. I bought the Jaguar XJ TDVi Executive 2.7 for business reasons only, drove it a week before the accident but it was on the button each and every time. It's economical to run and comfortable. Pound for pound a splendid car! ...

I have leased this Jaguar XJ TDVi Executive 2.7 via Lombard's. I have rejected the vehicle back to Lombard's and they have asked me to return the car back to Jaguar for them to check over the issues at hand.
