The Halifax banking service through online banking have been taking unauthorised direct debits from my account. I have a payment going out each month for a loan. Its never been in arrears but since 8th June they have taken 3!! payments. I have phoned every day for 11 days and had two indemnity claims made but they have only returned 1 payment and are using my overdraft for which they charge £1 a day.
They admit they are in the wrong saying they are putting in a new computer system and my money will be returned by close of business . They say that every day but it never happens . and it take more than 20 mins waiting to even speak to them
Terrible service I am closing my accounts as soon as this is resolved -- if ever !!
