the terms and conditions clearly say that you won't be charged if you go overdrawn less than £10. Did you have any direct debit or standing order bounced back? That may be what you have been charged for. Everytime there is no sufficient funds on the a/c and you have payment coming out, someone has to physically look at you account and make a decision whether to pay that item or not. If you don't operate your account like you should they will not pay the item as they view you as a risky customer. And that is understandable. you wouldn't want to lend someone money that you perceive risky, would you? Moreover, it is your responsibility to make sure that there is sufficient funds on the account before any payment is made. I hate when people say that if they were in charge of their money rather than banks, they would be operating the account better. Well, you are the one that is setting up direct debits and standing orders, making payments, hence you are in charge of your account. rather than blaming banks for you going overdrawn, take responsibility for your account.
