I originally booked a room at the Grand Metropole in Blackpool for a stay. No deposit was taken. I rang on to change my booking to the Norbreck Castle as they had a swimming pool there. Then a deposit was taken. Subsequently within a few days many internet reviews stating about recent problems with Norovirus and bedbugs appeared and I was angry that I had not been informed of these issues when changing hotels. If I had been informed of these issues I would not have changed hotels, and so would not have had to make a deposit. I have now cancelled my booking entirely. I am very angry that I have lost a deposit which I would not have lost had I not tried to change hotels. I was left to find alternative accommodation and lost a chunk of money for nothing. Have tried complaining to customer service but they were no help at all denying about the norovirus issue. I have complained via email twice and their website but have received no response in 15 days so far not even an acknowledgement. Appalling customer service. Avoid like the plague.
