This was our second time staying at Thaison Palace Hotel, and it was just as good as the first. Kenny Thai ( Hotel owner) and his family are awesome - so helpful and nice, you really feel like part of the family here. Location is great, right at the edge of the Old Quarter and very near to Hoan Kiem Lake. Breakfast is awesomely good and staff is so attentive, they'll stir your coffee for you! There's always eggs cooked-to-order, bacon, hot dogs, bread and a good section of Vietnamese foods - pho, spring rolls, sticky-rice cakes, and some fruit. It seems like we're always having problems with the wi-fi when we stay in hotels, but not here - it was a very strong connection.

All the free drinking water you want in the lobby, along with 3 computers. Standard rooms are small but well-appointed. Deluxe rooms are much larger.

So once again, we have nothing negative to report here. As a previous reviewer suggested, book directly through the hotel's website ( www.thaisonhotelgroup.com) for the best rate. This hotel is a very good value, honest staff, good food (restaurant really isn't up and running other than breakfast, though), super-clean, very comfortable bed with lots of pillows, thick, soft towels and a good shower. Really, it's everything we would want in a hotel.
