“We wanted a comfortable, friendly B&B in Fort...”

We wanted a comfortable, friendly B&B in Fort Augustus, Loch Ness and we found this little gem of a place on the Canal Side. 'The Holt' is run by a lovely couple Bob & Monika who go out of their way to make you at home and look after your needs. The room was a good size with a nice on-suite bathroom. We had a great view of the river and the mountains. I spent quite some time watching an eagle soaring nearby, wonderful! The room was warm and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and freshly cooked and plenty of it.The rate is very reasonable too for what you get. We were charged £25 pppn which in my opinion was great. One word of warning though if you do go to Fort Augustus.....do not dine at The Lock Inn......what a dreadful dining experience that was! Stay well clear!
