We have just returned from the Hotel Son Baulo. We stayed in the main part for the resort, in a 4 stars hotel, then we tried Alcudia, but decided we prefeedr the 3 stars Son Baulo. We have now stayed at Son baulo three times and have this week booked our next holiday to the hotel.,
Although the building is 30 years old, you would think it was actually much newer because of the way it has been looked after over the years. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the corridors, hallways, bars, restarants, TV rooms, quiet areas, pool areas were of the same standard. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, although the pillows on the bed were not big enough. Our room did have a fridge, but we did pre book and pay for it before we left England
The members of staff were very friendly, courteous, helpful at all times, and cheerful especially the waiters, Manuell and Gabriel, they understood and spoke good English
10/10 for the food, I have to say it again, if you stay at the hotel, you are probably going to pile on some pounds !!!. An adult area in Dining room would have been nice.
During the day a kids club was available to cater for the needs of the younger holiday makers, so you don´t get mny children running wild around the hotel ,as we have experienced in other beach hotels.
The evening entertainment was one of the best things about the hotel. There was a mini disco on each night for the kids ad the different acts from performing parrots for the children, magicians, dancers, Celine Dior Tribute (the best), comedians, live latin mucic and dance and more..
Only booked one Thomson Trip to the Marineland whichv was ok: Seal lion show, and the Dolphin were amazing. Hotel arranged Horse Riding which was good for both riders and non riders
I would suggest not to visit the beach bar (the one on the beach, not the one by the pool). I was ill for a couple of days after eating there a baguette, I know this beach bar has nothing to do with the hotel, and we couldn´t have been better looked after by the hotel staff while I was ill, but I think guest should be warned.
I would recommend the Hotel Son Baulo to Families and also for couples who like to relax and who like to watch not join in with the evening entertainment.
