Upon arriving at Ibiza Rocks, eagerly anticipating the hotel along with the joys of the island, we were greeted by a rather rude woman on reception, which is never a great start. After begrudgingly giving her a deposit each for our rooms, we were given our keys and sent on our way. The rooms lacked any sort of individuality, but were clean and tidy. Having searched for the remote for the air-con for 15 minutes we then realized we had to pay for this each night, something we assumed from the room specs and price would have been included. After shedding out more cash, for the air-con and the cost of the safe key, to the moody woman on reception we felt slightly exhausted by the hotel. However as we woke up and went down by the pool we came to understand what all the fuss was about! The days by the pool are exceptional and the music gets you psyched for the nights ahead of you. There is even a quiet pool for the days when your ears and head need a rest.
It is this day-time atmosphere of the pool that you pay for and the opportunity to meet many other ibizarians along the way.
