I recently stayed at Hotel Excelsior Dubrovnik for a long weekend. As we went in March, it was pretty quiet, and the spa was practically empty. This was perfect for me, as I didn't have to wait to use anything. However the steam room was out of use for my entire stay, as they weren't going to fix it until the peak season.

The rooms themselves were clean and quite large. Breakfast was ok, a bit repetitive, especially if you are a vegetarian. They don't tell you that you can order hot food, although you can.

The view is what sells this hotel. You are right up to the sea, and this hotel offers a stunning view. You just have to see it for yourself to appreciate it.
