Just got back from a long weekend in Bruges, stayed at this hotel. Apparently been under new ownership since 2009, and around 2011 they bought the hotel next door, the "Erasmus" and effectively did a "knock-through". So, here we go: Location- slap in the middle of the town centre, next to and overlooking the canal, within easy walking distance of anything and everything you will want to see. At night the only noise was the various church bells chimimg and the odd duck or swan still paddling about outside. Windows open and a cool breeze blowing in off the water- lovely. Building- quite historic, as is most of Bruges itself. Rooms- various specs, all are BIG and comfortable. Decent beds. Breakfast- eat as much as you want buffet style, good selection of food and generous sitting times. Restaurant- Excellent. Prices- on a par with similar hotels. Staff- genuinely friendly and helpful, nothing is any trouble-the icing on the cake. Summary- most definitely worth a visit, seems to epitomise and represent everything that is good about Bruges
