Extremely disappointing accommodation

I stayed two nights in this very substandard room. It was an extremely sparsely furnished room. I was appalled at the standard in comparison to other travel lodges I have stayed in in Britain. There were no key elements that were positive in relation to the standard of the room. I could not believe how basic it was. The toilet hadn't been cleaned properly and the remote control wasn't working properly so that I couldn't heighten the volume on the television to make it audible. The room was extremely depressing and fatigued. For my brother who was kind enough to book and pay for my stay he was extremely upset by the very poor standard of room I was staying in. I understand that there are several excellent B&B accommodation in close proximity to the Travel Lodge which are better value and offer a good standard of accommodation.
in my view this place is to be avoided at all cost. For those interested I would advise that they sty well clear of this accommodation. it is offensive. I will never be back.
