I stayed at the London Park Royal Travelodge on 24 August and checked in the afternoon.
The reception staff I would straight away say have no experience in meet and greet but that can be over looked.
I was advised on check that I have booked a double room when in fact I had booked a family room but the receptionist was adamant I had booked a double.

I went to the room regardless to take a look. It was set up as a disabled room with a double bed and single bed which I was happy with but the single bed had no duvet.
I went to the reception and asked for a single duvet and was told I could not as it is a booking for a double room which I found strange as I have worked for this chain before and never knew of this policy to deny extras.

I showed the receptionist the booking on my phone to prove that I have a family room booked, he then advised he will move me into another room rather than provide an extra duvet….so much for customer service training.

I moved onto the second floor to the new room and settled in to find the usual set up for a budget hotel. The room was clean and the usual tea and coffee was provided with clean cups.
The bathroom was clean also and was happy with the remainder of my stay.
The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed a good night’s sleep.

The corridors and left and the front reception area is very dated and old and seems to have an odd odour but that’s something you can overlook for the basic accommodation provider it is.

The parking on site is chargeable at five pounds for 24 hours, which I think is unreasonable and should not be chargeable as its on Travelodge property and not shared.
