My Husband and I recently had a holiday with Shearings called Celtic Experience which started with a taxi ride to Great Barr and a two hour wait in the cold for our transfer coach to their Stretton Exchange, just glad it wasn't raining.
There were no Ceilaghs or Irish Entertainment, the first hotel in Ennis called the Auburn Lodge was like Fawlty Towers 70's Decor and 70's Electrics, a lumpy bed and tatty furniture and musty walls.
The evening meals were a mixture of the fruit that had been used for the breakfast and a not very well thought out menu, on the third day I had to request some traditional cuisine. Located a 25 minute walk from the town or equivalent £8.00 taxi fare each way.
I write this as I have reviewed it on their website but they do not appear to have published it? Wonder Why!
