I took two children both aged 12 for a farm and woodland trek, all of us complete novices - the first thing we all noticed was how genuinely caring of the ponies the staff are, knowing their personalities and treating them with respect. The staff were friendly and so helpful, giving tips on sitting and dismounting which made the experience so much nicer. You also get protective vests, which I have never been given anywhere else before. The only thing you need to be careful of is the riding hats, which are quite dirty (I had a reaction to mine the day after as I have very sensitive skin) so I recommend taking your own hat or wear something to protect your skin under your hat (i,e, your forehead!) to prevent this. The whole experience was brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. Thank you to all at Mill Farm.
