great 2nd book in the saga!

I think this is better than the cirque Du Freak. I liked the storyline being about the start of darrens half vampire life and him getting to grips with no longer being a full human child. I liked the authors portrayal as to why darren was reluctant to try human blood as if i was in that situation I would be exactly the same as darren. I liked the story of darren going as a cirque Du freak performer and his developing relationship with Evra and Sam Grest. I therefore was saddened about the ending of the story. I however have not awarded it 5 stars as because I think their could have been more action and a tiny bit more excitement.
