My Hebrew Story started a few years ago when I finally decided that learning Hebrew was something important in my life and for my future. I would like to live in Israel one day and having a decent level of Hebrew is extremely important. I started with a self-learning CD and book. I really liked it and learned the basics. But once the book was finished, I felt I needed more. I wanted to have a teacher, so I took courses with two different teachers. Unfortunately, I didn’t like them that much, and since I live in a very big city, I spent a lot of time travelling to my Hebrew classes.
I am a language teacher myself and I know that native speakers of a language are not necessarily the best teachers. To be a foreign language teacher you need more than just speaking the language. You obviously need to know the language well, but you also need patience, sense of humour, and you have to like what you are doing. So, I decided to try eteacherhebrew.com. I read their web page very well. They even have pictures of some of their teachers with their biodata, which I found very interesting and helpful. I thought that since they all seemed to have a lot of teaching experience, I would probably get a good teacher with the characteristics that I like in a teacher. Plus, if it is accredited by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, their teachers must be good.
I started at Level B with Shoshi Yarden. We loved her. I said “we” because some of us asked to repeat with her in Level B+. She was great. Her classes were fun and interesting. She was quite demanding, as well. I think we learned a lot. I was always looking forward to having our classes on Sundays. Once we finished Level B+, another student and I asked to continue with Shoshi, but unfortunately she didn’t teach Level C.
I waited a few months and started with Niva Ben Yaakov. Niva is very good, too! She is like a nice mother to us. You can tell she has a lot of experience and that she enjoys teaching. She encourages us to speak and she does interesting activities where she makes us repeat what another student said so that we can practice other tenses or using indirect speech. Like Shoshi, she likes laughing and she is very sweet.
To finish my story, as you can imagine, I am very pleased with the teachers I have met at E-teacher. The good reputation of a teaching institution is thanks to its teachers. That is the case with E-teacher. I really recommend it. Plus, it is very convenient for people who are very busy like me. You don’t even have to leave your house. You get your material at home. It’s as simple as turning on your computer and logging in to their teaching system.

Hey man, thanks for the review. I was wondering if this was just another internet SCAM - it's hard to know who to trust these days....
But from what you wrote here I see it's not. Today I left my info on their website and a nice guy called me 2 hours later from Israel to explain about their courses and evaluate my Hebrew level. Very professional indeed.
My course will start in 1 month, I'm very excited and ready to start. Will update here if anything happens.
