It has been a rewarding course with lots of support and positive feedback from the the tutor who marked the assignments promptly. The course material did not include a reading list which would have been extremely useful. Most academic courses include a required and supplementary reading list. I think that UKDLP students would benefit from this information giving them an opportunity to broaden their knowledge further regarding the course subject matter.
The course has been good value for money and has given me greater insight into the Early Years Foundation Stage. It is a pity, however, that the course cannot be tailored to make it a qualification that the government recognizes as a valid Level 3 for EYFS.

Thank you for your very useful review. Regarding a reading list, we will look into this. However, the sector is such a volatile one in terms of legislation and its impacts that text books do date very quickly. Research, which we encourage, is of more use. In this respect an enquiry to your tutor would elicit further guidance. We would love the course to be a 'qualification' but the inability to carry out workplace assessments on our part is the main problem. The course does provide, however, a strong theoretical basis for progression into a vocational environment and further workplace assessment. We wish you all the best in the future.
