In 2001 i did a Diploma in Child Day Care which cost me £500... Now i thought great! A new start a new career well "NOPE" I did the course great marks in it and got my "SO CALLED CERTIFICATE" People it is not a recognised certificate within work places and in Colleges... If say you want to further your career...ie colleges/University... Nope you can't...I live in Scotland "MAYBE" it's different in England who knows!!!But i would "NOT" recommend ICS to "ANYONE"
"BE AWARE OF THEM" THERE'S PROBABLY BEEN MANY A PERSON LIKE MYSELF SUCKED INTO THIS BIG TIME..........

To be fair, things might have been different back in 2001, but they should have been aware that legislation is different in Scotland than it is is England and Wales....Shame you had such a negative experience :(
I'm happy to say that not all distance learning providers are the same!!
I've done one with ICS (which left me constantly frustrated!) and a handful with Home Learning College - MUCH better :-)
Don't let ICS put you off learning!!

I have just done same course through Open Study College/Stonebridge, same kind of money, just been told by Govenment Education department that it is just the theory and without practical assessment in the workplace it is worthless and WASTE OF MONEY........ only way to get true Level 3 is at a place of work NOT through ANY home study.
