I was made redundent and as part of my leaving package work paid for me to do the Manuel and Computerised Book Keeping (ICB). The elements I liked about the course were the helpful replys to the assignments that I submitted for marking with comments where I needed to amend or review a chapter. The elements I didnt like were that you didnt always get the same teacher marking your papers if you had to submit more than once for marking as some tutors contraticted each other. I would have benefited from having one tutor. The tutors were all excellent though and supportive and I even had phones calls sometimes if I hadnt understood a topic which was brilliant as I didnt pay for the telephone communication. I would definately advise that a student buy the package with telephone communications as I didnt have this and sometimes it would have been easier if I had chatted to someone rather than having email exchanges. But like i said some tutors were good and telephoned to get a point across. I enjoyed the course and have thought about doing the next steps but I am working and will find this difficult but definately advise anyone looking to have a new skill to do it with the Home Learning College.
