Unlike the other reviewers which I have ignored at my cost I have been trying for the last month, wasting my time and leaving my property unprotected to get an ADT alarm system installed at my new home.

ADT are useless the sales consultants on the phone know nothing about what they are selling they just push one system and insist a sales person call even when you know what you want. They don’t listen to you. They did not bother to take my details down correctly resulting in me waiting in for a Sales Consultant who never showed up.

Booked a second appointment thought my details would have been amended – no such luck. The sales person came, was very helpful and nice but after explaining to me that trading standards were unimpressed with ADT’s 36 month contracts for the quick connect systems and that I only needed an 18 month contract proceeded to leave a contract for me to sign with a 36 month contract term, this could be why some reviews are surprised when they discover the contract term is longer than expected, I was lucky I checked.

I tried phoning the sales team who knew nothing about contracts unsurprisingly, promised me the Sales Area Lead would phone, nothing 3 days and counting. Then got put through to retentions, who always have high volumes of callers no matter when you ring. Finally spoke to someone. She listened, understood and put me on hold, she said to sort out my issue and after 10 mins on hold I got transferred to someone else on the same team who asked me what my issue was and it became clear the first staff member had just put me on hold for 10 mins and went for a cup of tea.

I wrote a complaint through the website and 2 days later they have not even had the curtsy to ring or acknowledge my complaint.

I’m looking for an alarm, I’m keen, I wanted an ADT alarm. NOT ANYMORE, I’m not doing it, don’t you, imagine if your trapped n a contract with these people.
