“Handled claim extreemly well”

We recently had a house fire and I was very worried when I read the reviews about Swiftcover. However the whole process went surprisingly well. Things did not happen overnight, but I was advised to secure the property with my own electrician which was eventually paid for. Later a loss adjuster (which is also used by most other insurances - so no disadvantage there if you use Swiftcover) was appointed and though things took quite a while to go through, in the end the claim was handled... “Never use these jokers....complete rip off merchants”

Cancelled a policy and bought eleswhere. They processed the renewal anyway and didnt communicate. Tried to demonstrate that I had dual policys and they should refund, wouldnt accept it and charged the cover for the period in question and then an additional cancellation fee. (read more)

“Botched work is not covered now!”

My central heating has broken down. They sent out engineer to fix it. He turn out 4 hours late and after looking at the system. He inform me that he has to come the next day. We were freezing whole night. Now, whenever I put on hot water the whole house get heating. Swiftcover is saying that it is not their problem. They even lost my renewal policy! After I had experienced rain damage to my home recently I got in touch with swiftcover who I have my policy with (cheap yes, my own fault) to ask for advice on their procedure more than anything because i wanted to avoid a claim if possible. I went online and was encouraged to email them, with a small option underneath to call an 0871 number. So I emailed the details and was told someone would be in touch 'shortly'.
