Having received notification from my current insurance that my premium would increase by 25% I decided to follown up on two mail shots that I had recently received from two other insurance providers. One of which was Policy Expert.
On calling Policy Expert I was very much put at ease by politeness of the service operator and the time and attention given to taking my details and insurance cover needs.
There was no hard selling, just a gathering of facts carried out in an exceptionally friendly manner.
"What if" questions were asked and in a short timeframe I received a quote which was 50% lower than my current insurers renewal price.
I requested Policy Expert to call me back in 48 hrs because I wanted to benchmark the cover and premium against the second mail shot and my current provider.
I received the call back from Policy Expert and indicated that I was intrested because the two other options could not get near the premium.
However, I needed assurances that the policy was for real and that there were no catches?
Policy Expert assured me that everthing was above board and that the insurance company was underwritten by a much larger company whose name was given.
I was given a quote reference and told to go online to review the policy. To my surprise I received a page including several quotes from differing Companies all offering the same cover but the premiums were different.
I also found that I was able to ammend my cover online and see the resultant effect on the all premiums.
I called Policy Expert once again to inform them that I would purchase my insurance through them and went ahead.
Having taken all my payment details Policy Expert informed me that I had 14 days grace in which I could cancel the policy at not cost the premium would be totally refunded.
In addition that this premium would be fixed for two years!!!!
