Renewal of house and contents cover which was due in two weeks' time. I have already got this from Policy Expert last year and so called them for a renewal quotation. I was given a very competitive quote with excellent cover for renewal. However, this was about £50 more than what this same company quoted through a price comparison web-site. When this was mentioned, I was offered the cheaper price for the same cover which included free legal insurance.
Altogether I am very happy with the service provided and the customer service but giving four stars only because I had to shop around first to get a better deal from them.
IN SUMMARY: The lesson of my experience is that it pays to shop around no matter what your current insurer quotes for renewal.
