My policy renewal quotation arrived in good time and the quote was very competitive. I checked details and had an enquiry so I left an e-mail message. I received what looked like an automated response that did not answer my enquiry, it simply stated that my problem had been dealt with - when obviously this was not the case, so I telephoned Policy Expert. My call was answered quickly and by a real person who was able to answer my questions and also dealt with another anomaly in my policy that I had not picked up. This service was great and the person on the 'phone was friendly and efficient but I am concerned that the e-mail feedback did not answer my question. In this case it was a relatively minor detail but I do wonder if this had been seriously incorrect information a worst case scenario could have compromised my insurance cover. If the company prefers customers to phone why not just say so?
